Poorly Little Boy

Hi everyone.

After Oliver fighting sleep BIG time last night and ending up falling asleep on his bedroom floor, I really thought he’d lay in to make up for the sleep he lost.. Nope. He came into our room at 5am and little did I know, that was just the start. I realised he was ill when I saw what had come out of him (TMI) and how he was acting, he wouldn’t stop crying, wanted me one second and not the next and wouldn’t really eat. I managed to get him to go back to sleep around 7am for an hour but he woke up even worse.

I tried to make it as comfortable as possible for him so we put on our cosy clothes and watched films with LOTS of water. It was pretty hard as I had lots to do but if I moved a muscle, the whole world knew about it. Luckily after he ate some of his lunch he was pretty tired and went down for a nap so I could finally start sorting out the house (and myself!)

I didn’t take many photos of him during the day as the last thing he’d want is a huge camera in his face and unless you fancied seeing a crying, worn out toddler, you wouldn’t have wanted to see them anyway. He woke up from his nap in a slightly better mood thankfully and actually sat down to play with me for a while and by dinner/bath time, he seemed fine again. He had a great time in the bath and is currently laying in bed getting settled, hopefully we don’t have a fight on our hands tonight!

Sorry this post is short – we didn’t do much and it all seems like a big blur in all honestly, I was too busy worrying about him to focus on the moments. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be a better day!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Poor little man (and poor little you of course). It absolutely sucks when a little person isn’t well, especially as they can’t tell you what’s wrong. I really hope he’s better today x
