Rain, Rain, Don’t Go Away

g.png

Hi everyone.

We woke up this morning, looked out the window to determine what we were doing and guess what.. It looked cold, yes! I’ve been sick of the heat for a while now so I was pretty happy for it to end. I decided we were going to be indoors as it was predicted that heavy rain was on it’s way and I had so much to get done before going out for the day tomorrow.

To my excitement, it did start to rain! I’ve missed the noise so much and could actually put on a jumper. I did have a ‘doh’ moment though as not only did I forget to shut our back door leaving the floor and dog wet but I forgot to shut our bedroom window creating a puddle and soaking wet net curtains.. That’s the closest we’ll get to an indoor pool.

I made Oliver and I tuna and sweetcorn pasta for lunch as it’s a favourite of ours (I ended up having next to nothing as Oliver desperately wanted more) and we had a cuddle on the sofa with some nursery rhymes on, he loves listening to music, it somehow calms him down.

To my horror, once it got to our usual nap time, Oliver was not having any of it. He’s usually great and will even take himself upstairs but not today, he didn’t nap at all and I knew that after dinner he’d be an absolute nightmare..I wasn’t wrong. He was so tired that he was nearly falling asleep in the bath so we made it extra quick, got him into nice cosy pyjamas and it’s going to be freezing tonight (I can’t wait) and got him settled for bed.

I’m going to spend the rest of my evening watching the 1st episode of American Horror Story season 6 and pigging out as I think Matt is going out!

I hope you’ve all had a great day.

Thanks for reading!
