My 10 Things

10 Things To Do On A Sunny Day With Kids

  1. Make your own ice lollies. The simplest way to do this is to pour fruit juice into the lolly container, put a lolly stick in the middle and freeze.
  2. Do chalk drawings. They are temporary so there is no need for the parents too worry and this way your child can draw to their hearts content.
  3. Splash around in a paddling pool. Throw some plastic balls in too and have a whale of a time! You can also buy a product that will turn the water to gloop/jelly for added fun.
  4. Play with a sand and water table. This way your child can explore different textures and enjoy their mini beach in their own back garden!
  5. Buy a sprinkler. These are great if you don’t have a pool and aren’t near a beach. You can create games that involve running through the sprinkler and in turn will keep your children cool.
  6. Play with bubbles. Something so simple can create so much fun! Make it even better by getting a bubble machine and creating huge bubbles for the children to chase/catch.
  7. Have a water gun fight. I loved this as a child! It keeps you cool and can involve all the family.
  8. Visit the beach. Take a bucket and spade and have some fun. I used to love hunting for crabs and shells!
  9. Go on a nature walk. I personally love these, Oliver loves to pick flowers and leaves so a trip to the park/woods is always enjoyed.
  10. Visit an outdoor pool. We have one about 45 minutes away from us and it’s perfect to socialise, let your kids have a play and have the added bonus of enjoying the weather.

  1. Some lovely activities.
We do most of these apart from the outdoor pool as we don’t have one local here in the countryside.

Thanks so much for joining in with #MMBC. Hope to see you next week x
